Itinerary：

D1,  KL- Auckland

Take the international flight to the gateway of NZ, Auckland. Arrive in the evening, stay in Auckland hotel. 

D2, Auckland  

Auckland city day tour. Visit Mt. Eden to see the full view of Auckland. Walking tour in the downtown to visit Sky city and waterfront, to see the most develop part of New Zealand. After dinner, check in hotel near Auckland airport.

D3, Auckland--Rotorua

After breakfast, drive 2.5 hours to Rotorua. Visit Whakarewarewa Maori village, to experience the authentic Maori culture living with thermal pools. The tour followed by a city tour in Rotorua to visit the town hall and Rotorua Lake. Redwood forest walking in the afternoon. Check in hot spring hotel and have dinner in town. Back to hotel enjoy natural hot spring. 

D4,  Rotorua—Lake Taupo 

After breakfast, In the afternoon, we will take half hour drive to visit Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. This is a thermal geo park with all shapes of thermal pools in different colors. We will keep going to Taupo Lake side town, stay in a lakeside hot spring motel. You can have relax walk or enjoy hot spring after dinner. 

D5,  Lake Taupo—Huka Falls—Hamilton—Auckland 

In the morning, we will visit the most special McDonald in the world-Taupo McDonald, which was built in a WW2 C47 passenger plane! Huka falls will be the second spot we will visit today; we will have an easy walk to enjoy this beautiful place. Huka Prawn Park is also a place you cannot miss. Beautiful blue prawns were feed in the clear water from the Huka falls, you can try prawn fishing here and learn about how to feed the prawns. We can taste prawns in three different ways: steam with garlic, butter, and boiled with sauces. After lunch, a 1-hour bus ride will take us to an English style city—Hamilton. A present walk in the Hamilton Garden will be very good for your healthy, this garden is a collection of gardens from many countries, very boutique and beautiful. We will arrive Auckland airport in the late afternoon and stay in the hotel near Auckland airport. 

D6,  Auckland—Christchurch—Tekapo

Take early morning flight from Auckland to Christchurch. Airport pick up, and then take bout 2.5 hours’ drive along the “Inland Scenic Route” will take you to a New Zealand high country. We will arrive Lake Tekapo around lunch time. After check in the lake view apartment, we are going to have a present lakeside walk to appreciate this beautiful glacier lake. We are going to have a special hot spring arrangement in the late afternoon, you will have chance to experience hot spring by the snow. Lake Tekapo is one of the best places in the world for star watching, you can easily see the galaxy from balcony of your apartment.

D7,  Lake Tekapo—Mt. Cook Village—Twizel

A present morning walk on the Tekapo lake side will make you full of energy for the day. After a short drive, we will arrive the Pukaki lake—the most beautiful blue lake in New Zealand. Water in Pukaki lake coming from the glacier of Mt. Cook—the summit of New Zealand, the color in the lake looks like sapphire under the clear sky, with the view of Mt. Cook on the background. We will arrange two short trekking for you in the Mt. Cook National park to see the Tasman Glacier Lake and Mt. Cook itself (if weather is good). We will stay in the Twizel nearby. 

D8,  Twizel—Arrow town—Queenstown

After breakfast, we will leave Twizel in the morning and heading to Queenstown. We are going visit a working salmon farm. Crystal clean water from Ohau lake was used to feed the salmons, you can learn about the salmon, and birds living on the highland. Salmon were prepared in different ways include sashimi, sushi, grill, and fry for tasting and you may remember this for a long time. We will continue proceed after to Arrow town which is famous for the Gold Rush and beautiful view. Have a scenic walk and some picture time of this little town, see the Chinese relics during gold rush. After that we will arrive Queenstown and check in the hotel near waterfront. Rest of the afternoon is the free time for you to enjoy this live cute place, you can do some shopping on the street or have some drink in the bar on the lake side.

D9, Queenstown 

A 50min scenic drive will take us to visit beautiful small town of Glenorchy and Paradise, the place filmed most of “Lord of the Ring” movies. We will do some light trekking in the picturesque valley between snow mountains, fully enjoy this unique place. We will back to Queenstown with may photo stops on the way. Before sun set, we are going to take the skyline cable car up to the top of Queenstown, overlooking the full view of Queenstown. Stay in Queenstown overnight. 

D10, Queenstown

We will have a relax morning in this most beautiful lakeside town, you can freely walk around the town center, lake front, or Queenstown Garden nearby. Before lunch time, embark on the 100-year-old lake cruise TSS Earnslaw—The only steam cruise in South Island which still use coal as the fuel. Half hour scenic journey will bring us to the other side of lake Wakatipu. After arrive the lake side Walter Peak high Country Farm, you can choose to experience some interesting highland farm activities or try special woodfire BBQ prepared with healthy farm food (prebook required), and then we will back to the cruise TSS Earnslaw and sail back to Queenstown. 

D11, 3^rd Nov. Queenstown—Milford Sound—Te Anau 

We will take a day trip drive across the snow peaks and through the native forest to visit Milford Sound—One of the World Natural Heritages in Fjord land national park. The scenic drive is about 1.5 hours each way, and then we will get on a scenic cruise and have 2 hours sailing around the Milford Sound. Waterfalls hanging on the thousand meters high cliff, seals laying on the rock, dolphins jumping  in front of boat, this is the time for you to connect with nature. We will drive back to Te Anau after the cruise journey and stay in this quite lakeside town. 

D12, Te Anau—Bluff—Invercargill

A beautiful drive in the morning on the South Scenic Road will take us from Te Anau to Bluff, we will visit beautiful lakes and coastline on the way. Visit Bluff in the afternoon, experience this small historical town located on the south end of New Zealand, try famous Bluff oyster, looking for NZ black foot abalone and green mussels on the Bluff coast walk if tide is right. Stay overnight in Invercargill. 

D13,  Invercargill—Nuget Point—Dunedin  

Keep driving on the South Scenic Road, have phone stops and short walks on the way. Visit Nuget point light house around noon time, walk to penguin watch point to try if we are lucky to see local yellow eyes penguins. Heading to Dunedin in the afternoon, city tour in Dunedin harbor, visit the steepest street—Baldwin Street and Speight’s Brewery, check in hotel in Dunedin after dinner.  

D14,  Dunedin—Omaru

The most spectacular railway in NZ—Inlander train journey (10:00am—13:30pm, 6^th Nov. 2022 only) from Dunedin to Hindon and return. In the afternoon, visit Moaeki Boulders, Shag point. Arrive Omaru before sunset, visit Omaru historical blocks and try if we are lucky to see blue pinguin back to nest. Stay overnight in Omaru.

D15, Omaru—Christchurch—Auckland 

After breakfast, we will heading to Christchurch, photo stop in Riverstone castle, view the castle from the outside. Arrive Christchurch at noon, followed by Christchurch city tour. We will visit Regent Street, Cathedral Square, and Botanic Garden. After farewell dinner in town, take domestic flight to Auckland. 

D16, 8^th Nov. Auckland—KL 

The departure day, take international flight 0110/0720 back to sweet home.
